Service of Reflection

Tuesday 23rd March is a National Day of Reflection as we look back on the anniversary of the first lockdown. This has been such a hard year and so many people have lost a loved one or struggled with isolation and loneliness.

On 23rd March there is to be a national Minute’s silence at 12 noon and after that our church bells will ring.

In the evening we are encouraged to light a candle or shine your phone torch from a door or a window at 8pm. To lead up to this we will have a short service of reflection available on this page at 7:30pm. It’s a chance to hear some local reflections on the year that has passed , to find some support and to look to the future with hope. We are grateful to those who have taken part and for the music of St Ronan’s Silver Band, The Traquair Choir and The Cheyne Gang.

Please let others know that the service will be available here, on Youtube and through our recorded phone service on 01896 404505

You might like to have a candle ready to light while watching this service.

Further Help

Marie Curie offer an excellent list of resources about dealing with grief. If you would like to talk or for someone from the church to pray with you please get in touch.

Thanks to everyone who shared their reflections on the year and to all our contributors.
